Want To Decorate Your Home in a Different Way This Diwali? Try This Out!!

Diwali is a festival that spreads happiness, induces love and strengthens relationships and is thus, one of the most loved festivals all over the world. In fact, it is also one of the most commonly celebrated festivals across the globe. Diwali is a symbol of positivity, prosperity and wealth and is an occasion which is best celebrated with family and friends. Therefore, having a grand Diwali party with all your near and dear ones is an absolute must. However, various arrangements need to be made for a truly successful Diwali party; home decoration in the pure festive spirit, being one of them.

For every household celebrating this wonderful festival,full-fledged cleaning and preparations for decorating and adorning of the house start days before Diwali. The reason for this is very simple indeed. Everyone wants their house to look undeniably stunning and welcoming. Year after year we all strive to decorate our houses as beautifully as possible with earthen lamps, candles, electric lights etc. However, this year I have decided to try out something different to make my house stand-out from others. I have decided to follow a theme which I am going to observe all over my house and my theme is going to be a 'light and aroma theme'.

Let us begin with the exterior. Like every other year, this year as well I am going to use electric lights to decorate my house from the outside. However, to add a little ornamental touch, I am going to put up an ornate lamp shade in each of the balconies. There are a number of lamp shades, in aesthetic designs, available in the market from which I plan to choose. Also along with electric lights I am going to use strings of flowers and leaves, maybe bells as well, for a complete festive look.

Now we come to the inside. This year I have decided to use something else along with the usual earthen lamps and it is none other than aroma lamps, also commonly known as oil burners. I am a big fan of aromatherapy and feel that it is a great idea to make use of its benefits during the festive season. I plan to make little arrangements in every corner of my home in which I am going to place the earthen lamps in a circular formation and put an oil burner in the middle. Oil burners are nothing but fancy ceramic pots, with a bowl on top and a gap to place a tea-light candle near the bottom. They are very simple to use and look truly spectacular. Also as they make use of fragrant essential oils, they make a place smell absolutely breath-taking as well. Oil burners are, therefore, a great choice for any party or special occasion.
